msi mainboard non post problem

Have just built a new pc with km4m ms-6734 mainboard which refuses to post xp2600 cpu have tried changing cpu and ram but no joy,any ideas. There is a four pin jumper (jpw1) which is 12v power supply to cpu but it does not make it clear in the users guide as to whether it should be connected or not the speaker does make slight noise but not a beep,have also tried new 550w psu.Any ideas please

someone recently had a problem after a build,they had connected up a case fan to the system fan pins on mobo,this caused it not to post as it was a fixed speed fan,not a variable speed.just a could always take off all wires and start again ,connecting only bare minimum and keep trying to start it.good luck

Without looking at manual does it have integrated graphics,I have an MSI nforce 2 board integrated graphics with the 4 pin power connecter which I have plugged in.

Yes, you should definately connect the 4-pin auxiliary power connector.
