msconfig in XP

hi all, for the first time ever, unlike when i had win98, i have gone into msconfig and unticked a couple of boxes,now i get a box come up on start-up saying, "selective start/up choose normal start/up and undo the changes made"

it is trying to tell me i should have left it alone? or do they all do it.....thanks

There is normally a check box you can select to 'never warn about this again'.

Try this though:

Re-apply those items that you deselected to put things back as they were and restart the PC.

Download Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel click here then extract and install it.

It gives you far more control over what you can and cannot do and is more intuitive to use.
