MSCONFIG and Win 2000

To get to the start menu...its MSCONFIG right?

Ive treid it on about 5 machines and no joy!

There is no msconfig in Win 2000, Doire_Bhoy, but you can use the Win 98 or XP version. click here

In Win2000

There are tools available that you can access the startup options. I know there has been posts in the forum before regarding 2K and msconfig so try a search.

Alternativley you could look in the registry which is where these tools look in any case...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run

I asked the same thing a while ago, 2000 has NO msconfig used a pogram called "itty bitty" from ----- my postings is back hang on

If you copy it from another machine it might work, but 2000 doesn't ship with MSCONFIG.
