MS Word 97 lost file commands

I have a Dell Dimension XPS D300 running Windows 95 OSR2 v 2.0 with MS Word 97

I seem to have deleted two commands from the File menu in MS Word, messing around with keyboard shortcuts. I can no longer see the 'Close' and 'Close All commands' on the File menu, and the keyboard shortcuts for these commands don't work either. I have tried resetting the keyboard shortcuts in Tools, Customize, but it didn't work. Is there anyway of getting them back without re-installing Word. If not, can someone tell me how I go about that? Mine is an old PC and I still have the installation CD, though I have never used it!

Should be a repair to word option when open after clicking on the help tab.(if mem is right)

If you put your installation CD in you will be given the same option.NO problem in doing re-installation,normal practice when something goes wrong in word 97.
