Can someone tell me how I set the mail setting so that after downloading my emails. The server holds the message so that I can down load the same emails on my laptop. I know how to do it with Outlook Express but can't find the same setting in Outlook.
you're using, so I'll run through the procedure for the 2003 version.
Launch Outlook and go to tools.
Select 'email accounts' and then 'View or change'
Now double-click on your mail account name.
The properties box will open, and you should click on the 'more settings' button and then the advanced tab.
Tick the box marked 'Leave a copy of messages on the server' and then select the other options that become available - such as how long to leave the messages on the server, and whether or not they should be removed when you remove them from the deleted items folder.
