MS office excel 2003 - recently used list

I have a dell 530s with vista home premium, ms office 2003.

I keep losing my 'recently used list' in excel..set to keep 6. All ok until I restart the machine then gone....I've checked the usual places (I think like tools options etc) but can find no mention of this problem. No problem with the Word RU List.

Any assistance as ever, gratefully received

Hi, Are you using a cleaning program such as Webroot Window Washer or any other cleaning program. It maybe set to clean Excel files like it does with Media Player, it cleans all recent activity on selected files.

yes..I use Ccleaner...but have not noticed this on my xp system....I'll check closing without using the cleaner and report on results..

yep! that appears to be need to find out which bit of ccleaner is removing them...still a bit strange though as my word 'most recently used file list' is not affected...

think I found the problem. Theres an application tab in CCleaner with MSoffice ticked. Just unticked it run CC restarted and all seems ok..
