MS distribution of browser choice

Having received MS distribution of browser choice if I install say Firefox alongside MS IE could it result in any conflicts or my setup becoming unstable? and is it worth it? I am currently using Norton 360. Just wanting an informed opinion please. Thanks

No it won't result in any conflict. On my main PC and laptop running IE8 and sometimes use FireFox.
It's sometimes useful to have more than one browser in case one gets corrupted in some way or problems occurring with flash player.

Refuse the update from Microsoft and go to the Firefox site if you want to download it.
There have been a few problems with folk that have downloaded it and then cannot remove it.
It may have sorted itself out by now but safer just refusing it right click it and click on don't show this update again.
