mp3s for nightclubs

Bit of a wild one but does anybody know where and who nightclub owners pay their money to in order to play mp3 dance music in their clubs?

Numerous searches on the Internet and on Kelly Search has resulted in no companies who distribute music to nightclubs. Can anybody help here? Nightclubs, in particular a major chain, must surely be legally paying for their mp3s otherwise they would, amongst other things, lose their licenses.
