Is MP3 Pro any good?

I want to back-up my cd collection onto a portable hard-drive. My Nero suite allows me to convert these files to 'Mp3 Pro' but when converted the files seem too small (averages down to 40mb per cd). At this small size is the quality likely to be severely impaired.

I want to use the files as back-ups and also so I can easily access the files to load onto ipod, phones etc.

Thanks for your advice in advance

Lil

Mp3 pro is the latest file compress for music

It gives the same quality as MP3 but at a smaller file size.

Make sure your player can play MP3 pro files.

...in MP3 Pro are much mo are complex than standard MP3. Follow Fruit Bat /\0/\'s advice, then you will avaoid being dismayed. Depite the small file size, quality is quite good on mP3 Pro.

hope it works for you!
