Mozilla & lost hyperlinks in Outlook Express 6.0

I recently road-tested Firefox 1.0 (on my Win XP Pro) for a few days before uninstalling it because I preferred IE 6. Now, my hundreds of webpage shortcut icons are dead. Clicking on them brings the message, "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing thIs action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel." [What and where is the Folder Options control panel?]

More worryingly, the hyperlinks in my e.mails are also dead. Dragging any link onto my desktop and clicking the new icon produces the same message as above.

Any advice will be appreciated. Many Thanks.

Right click one of your shortcuts, select Open With. Choose Internet Explorer and tick the box to always use this program.

Thanks VoG™ but when I right-click on an e.mail link, I get "Copy (greyed out), Copy Shortcut, Save Target As, Save Picture As (greyed out), Save Background As (greyed out), Select All, Add To Favourites."

When I right-click on any of the webpage shortcut icons, I get the routine "Open, Print, Make Available Offline etc. - 10 down to 'Properties'." Clicking 'Open' gives, "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing thIs action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel," again.
