Movie clips and Windows DEP

  chriscross72 09:32 16 Jan 2006

When i plug the XD memory card from my Fuji S5600 camera into The USB port on my pc after a few seconds I get a message on screen warning me that windows explorer will be shut down due to a DEP issue. Then the icons on my desktop disappear for a few seconds before reappearing
This only happens when there are short video clips on the card and not if there are only photos on the card.
Is there a way I can stop this from happening as i'd like to be able to use the video capture from time to time.
I have XP home on my pc with SP2.
Thank you ; ))

Try to use the option of “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select”

I haven't the faintest where in XP you would go to do this, but be aware that MS are trying to resolve the latest WMF exploit so this could be why your getting this problem.
