Mouse Not Working

Hi All, After being away for a few days I returned and booted up the computer and the mouse would not work (Packard BellOptical) I recharged batteries although it is sitting in a docking station which recharges them; Uninstalled it and reinstalled it but sill no mouse, the system states that it is working OK but in control panel, add and remove, it has a red cross on it.Cheers, Flobby

Hi Graham,
I found Packard Bell's help line and phoned them.
as usual it was a simple thing. apparantly as the system was switched of for a while (4 days) it had lost it's signal so the button underneath the receiver had to be pressed again and it then received the signal. NOT a good system for people who only use the computer say at just weekends.
Any way all is working well now, Thanks for replying.
