Hi Mary,if it's the roller-ball type, then remove the ball and wash that in warm soapy water. The inside of the mouse itself, use a cotton-bud, again dipped in warm water and squeezed out before rubbing the rollers. For any stubborn fluff or grime use a wood or plastic cocktail stick. Do all this with the mouse disconnected from the PC.
