Motherboard Beeps

  Picard323 17:08 15 Jan 2004

Hi My mate has just phoned me and says his computer is making beep noises when he switches it on. It won't boot up! He says they are 2 beeps together and then after a sec 1 more beep, It just keeps doing that over and over. He can't find his motherboard manual, all He can tell me now is that its A pentium 4 board from Elite.

Anyone got any ideas where i can find out what these beeps mean?

Thanks in advance

Depends on the BIOS but two beebs tend to be faulty memory.

According to this site click here, the graphics card is either not seated properly or is faulty.

sounds like a graphics problem
