I have a Matsonic 8137c mobo, i'm after a new graphics card (9700pro) but i can't find the voltage the agp slot runs at or if the GC would be compatable with my motherboard. has anyone got one of these mobo or can anyone help me please to find out?

i dont think you should have a problem it will just run in agp x4 mode

click here it supports agpx4 so if you get an agp x8 card then it will run at x4 speed.

you wont even notice the difference.

I had read somewhere that if your mobo can run x1,x2,x4 Agp that it canonly support 3.3volts, where as i have read that the 9700pro's run at 0.8volts, is this right cause i dont want to get one and fry the card?

you wont fry the card but make sure that you have a 300w psu at least and a spare connection left on it as the card needs to be connected to it.

I've got a Radeon 9800 PRO running on an Asus A7V333 m/board which supports 1,2 and 4x AGP like yours and it works just fine,so you should be ok...On the power supply tho...i phoned Evesham(who i bought the pc from)and they recommended me to get at least a 400 watt supply because it has to support anything else you may have added ie: network card, plus any USB device you may have added that is powered by the USB port.Thats what i was told anyway and it seemed to make sense so i did it and,as said above, have had no problems
