More Virgin Media woes

Anyone out there who used to be with Blueyonder and is now lumbered with Virgin, if you use PCGuard are you having any problems? I haven't been able to update the antispyware since November - every update download simply crashes PCGuard. And now whenever I boot up, I get an error message and PCGuard simply hangs on its splash image. I can't stop it running from the toolbar icon and I can't access its settings.
It goes without saying that I have been unable to contact Virgin for help. No-one home.

Remove it in safe mode.

And don't put it back. Any one of the freebies available here click here is better, back it up with Superantispyware and perhaps a firewall if you think you need one.
