Things seem to be getting a wee bit out of hand at a2 lately. That's 4 major downloads in the last 2 days I have had to make, all of them virtually the same components and updates as the previous. According to the a2 forum on Emisoft's web site it seems that if they change, amend or wish to remove ANY part of previous downloads then this is done by changing that component part of the download and then re-issueing it. Consequently if it was originally a large download it may have to be re-issued many times if any parts of it require to be changed. I realise for many of us that it is a free program (and for that we are all truly thankful) but it's beginning to become a bit repetitive.

After I did last night's mega update it actually discovered 26 threats (all deleted).

Not too sure whats going on here. My other antispyware Spybot Adaware & Microsoft drew a blank.

have a look at this thread click here

Hope I've done that link correctly

Yep you got the link right.

I did notice in the malware that I deleted that one of them was limewire - I uninstalled this a couple of weeks ago. So got to assume that the others were also limewire related.

Have done the Spybot update this evening and it was clean. The A2 update is also clean.

So Limewire it must have been ??

Good stuff I seem to remember a thread on Limewire that recommended a version that was free of malware. Perhaps someone can shed some light on this. Quit a few old versions available at click here think I will have a go
