After installing video card what does 'override' mean when shown on screen?

It sounds as though you have not set up the refresh/resolution correct for your monitor and it is overriding the settings as a failsafe.

Which type/model of monitor do you have CRT/TFT and the screen size please?

if it's given as an option then it means you can overide refresh rate settings etc, if it's given as an error then DJohn is most likely on the right path

Also as the motherboard got onboard Graphics as we had one like this two days ago
