Monitor losing colour

My 'RELISYS' monitor (had it about 2 1/2 years) is flickering between full colour and a sort of dull green (as though looking through sunglasses).I've checked all connections. If I open one side of the base unit the colour will flicker back on. If I press the fan on the motherboard the colour reapers for 20 mins or so. I've recently installed a TV card and a DVD writer, could they be causing some kind of magnetic interference?
Is the monitor about to pack in, or could something else be at fault.
Any advice appreciated.

Are you using onboard graphics?.
The TV card and DVD writer are very unlikely to cause this problem.

I assume so. There's a cable from the board (five pin plug) to the TV out. I've just connected it to my TV and there doesn't seem to be a problem with the colour now.
