Hi, I have a problem that unexpectedly my connection to my isp, global internet is randomly disconnected. My isp say it is not there fault, and I cannot trace any fault on my pc. Sometimes the connection will last only 2 minutes, other times 20 mins.
Does anyone know why this may be. Ia m using windows XP home and have had no problems until the last two weeks.
Thanks in advance
Paul

check with bt you may be on a shared line this can cause slow internet speeds and dropped lines also run a virus check this was one of the symptoms of the blaster virus

sorry but did not ask do you get any error messages when the line is dropped

Sounds silly I know - but first check that it's not something like a loose connection or transfer lead

If it's dial-up then there's a setting in Internet Options on the connections tab that says something like 'Disconnect if connection is no longer required.'
