Mobile phone with camera - what's the best around

  Claremarianne 19:48 17 Dec 2006

Hi there,
I want to get a new mobile phone. Just want to use it as a pay and go phone, also want a camera with it, 2+ megapixels. Not bothered about MP3 or internet. What's the best around, at no more than £200? I like the look of a couple of the Sony Eriksson ones, but the reviews on the O2 website don't sound brilliant - ideas please!! Thanks.

Claremarianne this is a computer helproom its not for mobile phones. That said, the Samsung D600 £129 from Tesco.

Best bet is to look round the phone shops see what you like,And check it against that click here that I sent you,

You could try one of these. I have one and it is excellent, top reviews for camera,mp3,radio and also not too bad at making phone calls!!!

I have a k750i, quite frankly, there is no real need for more than 2 MP, when the camera has zero optical zoom.

Thanks to all who have replied. I will certainly look at the Sony's. I got rather put off them by negative reviews, but will now think again.... Next question (thanks to Skidzy for mentioning this) - is it easy to transfer the pics from phone to pc????

I also have a Sony Ericsson k750i and considering the camera is part of a mobile phone I think it's excellent. My only gripe is that it's too easy to select an item accidentally by pressing down on the joystick while navigating a menu.
