Missing sound card drivers

I feel that I should know the answer to this, however ...

A friend has had some help from an "expert" who has managed to reinstall windows and uninstal the drivers for the USB hub, printer, Zip drive and sound card. I can fix everything but the sound card. The system is an elderly Tiny pc (Pentium 166!), the original recovery disk is absent, so I have no driver software for the Sound card, and I don't know what make it is.

Any ideas how I can find this info (the easier the better)
