missing dll for iTunes

  dvdcllns 08:39 29 Apr 2010

My wife's laptop, running W7HP 64 bit, opens with a message saying "corefoundation.dll" is missing.
I can download the errant file from the net but where does it need to live on the laptop for iTunes to find it? There might be two versions of the file (64 + 32 bit), I presume that I would have to be careful and get the right one.
Anyone else seen this problem?
