Missing CD drive

Apologies for the re-hash. The problem is the same described by ianeon and responded to by fruit bat, namely missing E drive with no filters.
Fixed by loading missing files (pfc.sys, Mx12k.sys etc).
Does anyone know where to get them?

Thanks crosstrainer, but the advice re modifying filters does not work as no filters can be found in the registry key. On to the dreaded 'next steps' heading..
Ianeon apparently solved his issue by having those files on an nVia disc, though I am unable to work out how he got them onto the system as his cd drive was not present.

Try this:

Open control panel

Expand the tree and look for any entries related to your optical drives.

Right click on each one in turn and choose remove.
