Microsoft Virus Warning ??

These Message’s Below, keep popping up on my Computer with this warning.

Message from Microsoft to inform you about a Virus Detection on 30/01/2006 10:38:27

STOP! Windows Requires Immediate Attention

The Registry is corrupt and has errors.
Patching the errors is required to prevent damage to files.

(1) Open Internet Explorer

(2) In the URL field type www WinXPCleaner com (I have omitted the periods)

(3) Download the Registry Cleaner

(4) Run and Fix your Registry

Upon completion these warnings will stop

I have run Norton System Tools and checked the Registry and no faults were found

(I run One Button Check up 3 times each week)

I ran Ad-Aware which found One Tracker Cookee and deleted it
I also Ran “Spybot” which gave all clear.

I am unsure if this “Warning” is from Microsoft or not as in the past other Warnings have given a different Web Site to obtain help.

I do not open anything I am unsure about.

Please can you advise.

Kind Regards,

Geoff Fielding
