Hi all, just got a new laptop with microsoft office installed, 60 day trial,it keeps asking for the licence number, anyone know how much it costs, the laptop came from Amazon, but I can not find the price on there, they do the "office" but the price is from around £70 up to about £300,now i am more confused than ever.

Most computers come with a free trial to encourage you to buy. If you want Office, you'll have to pay the full whack to get the licence. An alternative is to uninstall Office and download the free, and compatible, Open Office click here

Thank you for that, I had visions of a few £'s.

I will try open office, thanks for the help.

is involved, but as you have a new laptop it might be the latest version - Office 2010.

If it is, you can't buy it yet - the official release date is June 15th. When it launches Amazon will charge £198.47 for the 'Home and Business' version.
