If you repair or restore a pc and in doing so remove office from the pc, is there a way of re loading Microsoft office if you do not have original cd. Can you obtain product key from microsoft so you can re - use. I know most people should have cd but some don't seem to have been given cd when they purchased pc.

From once it is removed, there is no way of getting the serial number back as far as I know.

Best to contact the seller of the software and find out why no CD / other media came with it.

It is very easy to get a serial number for any Windows application but this is not the forum for discussing it. Trying to reload it without a disk is a nightmare especially as some Office apps need the disk to uninstall or to work properly. You could try installing Open Office as this is free for home use click here and is very similar to Office.

If you haven't yet "repaired or restored" the PC, and Microsoft Office is still installed in it, an application such as Belarc Advisor will tell you the Product Key that was originally used to install it. However, you will still need the Office CD to reinstall the program.

Belarc Advisor - click here
