I have changed to Microsoft Live Mail,--- how do I get rid of Microsoft Live Messenger and I think is Bing? Neither are of use to me and slow down Start Up.

If you want to reduce the number of programs that start up when you switch on the computer, download and install the free Quick Startup, which is better than Microsoft’s msconfig, get it here click here

Click on (highlight) an entry, then in the left pane choose Disable or Delete. If you are unsure about an entry and want to know more about it before disabling or deleting it, highlight it and then click ‘More information’ at the bottom of the screen.

Alternatively, if you want to remove a program from your system you need to uninstall it (Add or Remove Programs in XP, Programs and Features in Vista and Windows 7).

Bing is a search assistant that can be removed from your browser.
