Microsoft ISDN Configuration Wizard

  TommyRed 15:54 14 Dec 2003

My friend gets this message after booting up on his desktop. 'No ISDN devices found. Please install an ISDN device and run the configuration wizard again'. He has just had some extra RAM fitted and his OS is 98SE. Any ideas how to remove? TR

Tell him to go to run and type msconfig under the strartup tab untick CFGWIZ32.EXE then run a full virus test.

I opened up startup in MSconfig and there was no CFGWIZ32.EXE and a virus scan showed no viruses. Any other ideas? TR

1) Does he have any ISDN devices?

2) How much ram did he / does he now have?

Not more than 512 Mb i hope.

What happens if the new RAM is removed?

Don't know, he's got normal stuff plus all-in-one- printer/scanner/copier. He's now got 256Mb of RAM after only having 64Mb,but the original 64 Mb is not installed according to Belarc Advisor. This was done in a computer shop, he wouldn't go in and remove anything and I'm a bit reluctant to go into someone elses PC. TR
