Eer since i got Ntl:Home broadband installed a few days ago i've been hit with unwanted alerts, such as hey im looking for a boy in the u.k...alot of spam basically. Most of them which come up are from click here which is a software that stops these. But im not gonna pay for a software which will just stop these. It get's annoying when playing games like counter strike, getting quite alot of eadsots now :p Anyway is there anyway to stop these without buying this piece of software.

go to control panel/ performance and maintenance/admin tools/ services, and turn off (set to disabled) messenger service, this will stop the alerts and dont worry it has nothing to do with windows messenger or msn messenger and both of these will work fine without it.
