Mesh Matrix 3000+ NDX - Fan Reporting Problem

  zimacs 09:44 19 Aug 2003

I purchased this computer a few months ago and recently found the Asus Probe Utility Programme for monitoring the computer motherboard. In the general summary tab the monitoring of the Power and Chassis Fans has been 'Paused' reporting a below threshold RPM problem. The CPU Fan is reporting OK. The minimum thresholds set by the Bios are 600 rpm for all fans. The CPU fan is running at approx. 3700 rpm. A physical check of the fans seems to show that they are all running. The CPU Temperature is reporting OK as are all other temperatures. The Motherboard is an Asus A7N8X2 Rev 1.xx and the Bios is Ver. 1003 03/19/2003. Has anyone experienced the same problem? The computer is otherwise behaving well.

Any advice would be appreciated

The most important physical check of the fans is what i would go by,as the bios has been setup from MESH to suit your system.

Probe Utility Programme for monitoring the computer motherboard may be correct but if concerned would suggest contact with Mesh.
That way you have safeguarded your warranty if anything goes wrong.

Have now received a reply from Mesh in following terms: 'There is no fault the power fan and the chassie fan are not connected to the sensors on the motherboard, so will not show.'

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
