menus open without clicking on the mouse in start

I have a new laptop and if I move the mouse over the menu options in the start menu they automatically open without me clicking. This is driving me mad as they open before I can get to the one I want. I've tried everything to try and find an option to turn this off. HELP PLEASE.

Umm odd one, must be some tweak program.

You mean in all programs they open when you hover?

You need to use the Windows XP powertoy.

Have you checked the obvious - ie your mouse? Maybe the left button is stuck in.

When you point at Start does the menu drop down without clicking? If not then your mouse cannot be the problem.

You have been very quiet over the last 24 hours. Have you solved your problem?

You need to break MS ones up

http:// support. microsoft. com/default. aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329381

Remove the copy to clipboard, remove the spaces and paste into your address bar.

Still i don't think its the right one though...
