Memory Stick/Flash drive

Hello friends, my memory stick is dead! It is 2GB AXIS stick containing very important information. Unfortunately I don't have a backup. When I stick it in the USB port the PC does not pick it up. The green light on the little stick does not come on any more. It has been behaving this way on and off in the recent past but it appears it is finally dead! Any solution to this? How do I retrieve the information on that flash drive that I need so desparately? Please help.

Most likly the pins have become unsoldered from the circuit board. This happens because of flexing as the stick is plugged/unplugged, it may be possible to take it apart and resolder the leads if you have s small fine tipped soldering iron.

Thanks wiz-king. The problem seemed to be with the board itself. I therefore had the stored data recovered and put onto another stick. Help appreciated.
