memory for hp 2579

I have been looking on crucial for memory for my hewlet packard bell.i- media 2579. I bought from pc world . it has 1gb ddr 2 installed ..I want to add another 1gb. but crucial does not give info on the i media 2579 .any one know what sort I should buy .for upgrade .ie what ddr2 .cheers

if you do the online scanner with crucial,it should be able to tell from your motherboard if the model isnt listed

if that fails you download cpuz off their site and send them an email,they will get back to you with the correct memory recommendation

The motherboard fitted to this model is the Cuba (MSI MS-7301) Motherboard.

It supports DDR2 400 / DDR2 533 / DDR2 667, 2 banks with Dual Channel support up to 2gig.

I would suggest running a diagnostic utility such as Belarc Advisor or Everest just to confirm the spec of the installed memory then look on the sites suggested for a matching 1gig stick.
