Memory error crashing Windows XP

  Nicco 22:39 05 Jul 2005

I've just purchased a new PC and whilst installing the supplied 'Panda Titanium antivirus 2005' software the system crashed.
On re-booting I had the following message as XP tried to load:
The instruction at "0x00ddafe0" referenced memory at "0x00ddafe0".
The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program.
On clicking OK the PC re-booted only to display the same message.
Sometimes the memory address is different e.g. "0x00ddb008"
Any advice would be appreciated.

It is the supplier's responsibility to provide you with a working machine.
