Hi wrinckly. It's very unlikely that you will find an identical board other than second hand, possibly from Ebay. You will probably be able to get a board that will do the same job. If you have a full copy of Windows, then this will make things easier. If you Windows is on a restore or recovery disk, then this may have difficulties with a different chipset. Look here for boards with VIA chipsets that may do what you want click here

Sorry, only this one has parallel ATA click here

although micro-star was the manufacturer of your mobo they are not offering any support as it appears it was made exclusively for medion, have you tried the german medion website?

The MSI 7042 is an OEM board, also used in some Advent PC's from PC World.I use one in my Advent T11 system, but strangely this has PCI-E graphics and not AGP.
I'm not sure if there is a retail equivalent version. You may have to choose a different board.

The only possibility I caould see for getting a direct replacement is to try Medion and see if they could sell you one. Gongoozler makes a valid point about what type of windows you have, a lot of branded machines have a windows disk which will only work on particular hardware, I don't know if Medion do this or not, I know emachines do, you may find if you buy a new motherboard which isn't the same as what you have it may not install.

click here PT* Neo-v (now to find where to buy it)

  Gongoozler 10:42 23 Jan 2006

AndySD, I don't think that is it. Wrinckly's first post identified the motherboard as Micro ATX, the one you linked to has the same chipset but is full ATX.

Hi chaps,
Gongoozler was correct, the size of the board is different. I am able to fit a board if one can be found-but I do not know what I am doing!!

Hi wrinckly. Tell us, do you have a full version of Windows or a recovery / restore disk?
