can't help you here mate, though I do think there's a patch for xp - -maybe go onto the MOH site to find out. Whatever happens, you have to persevere here - - -even if it means you buying a new PC to play it, even if it ,means selling your kids to buy said PC - -

If you use the search for 'games and crashes', you will find a lot of help. I have been having problems with various games, so my problem (xp crashing the games party!) could have a different solution to yours. Check them out.

Good Luck!

Hi Frontrow,

you could try the EA website as it has a support centre with a searchable database of FAQs that could help : click here

Below is a copy/paste of one example that may be relevant to you:

When I try and run my game the screen goes black and nothing happens

This problem can occur for a number of reasons.

Firstly, make sure your PC meets the minimum system requirements for the game in question. In order to do this, please check the back of the game box.

If your PC meets all of these requirements, you may need to update the version of DirectX that you are using (please click here for a full explanation of what DirectX is). Contained on the game CD is a version of DirectX which will be the most up-to-date version at time of release of the game. However, these may not always be the most recent as DirectX is continually being updated. For example, if you are playing one of our older games, such as one of our "Classic" releases, you may need to download the latest version of Direct X from the internet. DirectX can be downloaded from Microsoft's website by clicking here.

You will need to update the drivers for your video card and/or sound card in order to make them compatible with the latest version of DirectX. In order to do this you will need to download the latest drivers from your manufacturer's website. For advice on updating drivers, please click here.

Finally, you may need to change the resolution that your desktop is set to. To change your desktop resolution, right click anywhere on your desktop and select Properties. Now click on the Settings tab and adjust the "Screen Area" slider bar to 800 x 600. Click on apply, then confirm that you want to keep the new resolution. Now try to run the game again.

If you have tried all these suggestions and are still having difficulty, please click here to submit a question to our Customer Support Team.
