What would be the better hard drive Maxtor D740X 80 Gb 7200 rpm ata or Seagate Barracuda V Sata 7200 rpm...........Any help which is more reliable.............Cheers

no contest, seagate barracuda V. sata drives are faster than ata drives. cant remember full specs, best to do a search on the web.

Both makes are reliable - the sata is a serial interface drive, not IDE - can your computer support it?
