Maxtor jumpers

  Survey Surfer 22:54 08 May 2005

I have a Maxtor harddrive wich I am trying to set as
slave but I don't know how to reset the jumpers.
At present it works fine (from left to right) with one jumper verical and the next one horizontal across across the next top pins.

How do I set the jumpers for slave?

Any help greatly appreciated

With most Maxtor hdd's the jumper settings are shown on the top or near the jumper pin's.

Usually you take the jumpers out to turn a maxtor to slave. Is the drive limited to a certain capacity. i.e. the horizontal jumper.

The information is always on the top of the hard drive. If it has a rubber cover, just peel it off.

Agree with above. On most Maxtor hard drives the slave setting is usually without any jumpers fitted.
