To fit a hard drive Maxtor's website tells me to 'Use only # 6 x 32 machine screws no longer than 6mm.'Can anyone tell me what the '# 6 x 32' bit means?
Number 6 screw x 3.2mm I guess. They need to be short,so as not to damage inside drive.
I think you may find that the 32 means 32 threads to the inch[just googled it]
run down to your local family computer shop and they will probally have umpteen of these screw to give you
Thanks, that could well be the answer.
