I did have Office 2007 Beta on my machine but never really used it preferring to stick with Office 2003. Daft really but someone gave me a copy so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I had no choice about Outlook since 2003 Outlook disappeared to be replaced by 2007.
I uninstalled it and reinstalled 2003.
Now when i try to start Outlook I get an error message "MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software. Please reinstall Outlook." Tried to reinstall but still got same message. Any solutions please?

1. Quit Outlook.
2. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
3. Type Mapi32.dll in the Named box.
4. In Look In, click to select My Computer, and click Find Now.
5. Right-click to select Mapi32.dll in the search results list.
6. Click Rename, type Mapi32.old, and press ENTER to accept the name change. If there are multiple copies of Mapi32.dll in the list, rename each.
7. Close the Find Files window and start Outlook.

Ah yes. That's more up to date...

Did all that and repaired then reinstalled Office . Renamed msmapi32.dll as well. Outlook appeared to be working but whilst loading 26 new messages it gets into the teens and outlook closes down. It does this time and time again.
