Making use of a hard drive

I have just replaced my PC because the board packed up. It was a Fujitsu. I have now bought a Dell Dimension 8400. I've taken the hard drive out of the old machine and would like to use it as a backup external drive. Can I fit it into an external case and use it with a USB cable? It is a 60GB Seagate u6 MOdel ST360020A.

Thanks in advance for any help

I did exactly as SANTOS7 suggests with a spare 40gb drive I had kicking around. I bought the HD3A, comes complete with USB2 & Firewire cables. (I use FW). Easy to set up and very fast in use. Worth every penny.

Forgot to mention, my drive is also a Seagate.

Whats stopping you from fitting the drive internally ?

Probably, like me, already has two internal drives.

Thanks, all. As ventanas says, I already have two internal drives. Santos7's appropach looks good. Cheers
