The magical folder

Wonder if anyone can shed some light on this bizarre thing thats happening. A while back i was creating a new folder on my desktop in order to put some photos of my friends newborn onto it. I transferred it onto a CD then deleted the folder off the desktop (SHIFT & DELETE).

The weird thing is, is that every so often, the deleted file reappears (empty) back on my desktop. I delete it again (using both SHIFT DELETE & Recycle Binning it) But it still bizarrly appears back for time to time. Ran the usual Anti Virus, Spyware etc - all clean.

Any thoughts?

If you use system restore I think it would come back. Are you doing that?

Do a search for it and delete anything it finds, if it comes back again try searching the registry.

1. Tried right click delete
2. System Restore not activated (due to previous problems)
3. Search already for name & deleted everything

The pesky little blighter keeps on a coming....

Have you tried using click here
for a general cleanup of the registry. Also click here
Just an idea, hope it works for you.

If these do not work, how about trying the google picasa2...this will find all deleted photos, then it will give you the choice to either delete from disc or save.
