I bought a MA-8260 USB cable compatible with my phone and it will not install. It says there is no driver, can anyone tell me a website I can download a driver from?

could it be that you have a usb 1 motherboard and this cable requires a usb 2 socket?

USB1 and USB 2 are interchangeable that is if a USB 2 device is connected to a USB 1 system it will still work, even when you see a such a nag.
Certsinly a cable itsdelf needs no driver
The driver referred to almost certainly refers to the device - in this case a phone- So did the phone have software supplied or as with some Motorola types you have to download it.

We bought the phone which is a Samsung D500 and bought seperate a mobile manager software, which you have to install and then use it to download either music, videos or pictures onto the phone but it only gets as far as the USB setup wizard and then we can't install.
