Possibly not in the right forum but here goes....

Im trying to make a Windows vista sidebar gadget using HTML im not brilliant at it but i can do a bit.

What i want is an icon on the gadget that i can click and a program will open.
For example an icon of a notepad when clicked microsoft word will load.

Ive done something like it already using ' a href="C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\WINWORD.exe"> img src="word.jpg" alt="Word" width="35" height="35" border="3"/> /a>' but that only shows the word splash screen, word doesnt actually load.

any ideas.....

If you saw how many shortcuts i currently have on the desktop you would understand why i want this also it isnt necessarily for word.... that was just an example.

Thanks for the replies tho much appreciated.
