i've got lsas.exe (lower case L)file I know it is a windows process or it can be a worm infected file,when it tries to run it freezes the computer when zone alarm warns so i've renamed the file to .ext, if i've disabled the "real" windows file what damage/risks have I done?

How did you rename it? It's a system file, running a service - not easy to close it and rename the executable. Windows would probably try to prevent you doing so.

Have you run other antimalware>antivirus programs to check it it is a virus {worm}

Here are a few free antispyware/malware programs to use,

Only run one at a time

Always check for any updates before running

SAS/ Superantispyware click here

MBAM/ Malwarebytes/ Antimalware click here

DRWebCurit/ click here
