Low Quality XP Thoroughbred B ?????

  FredM 18:36 18 Jan 2005

I bought the XP2200+ processor for normal price. On entering the serial nos to check the CPU, I got
the low quality entry as above.

What does this mean? Is it less than full spec?

click here and try the codes here - is this where you tried already?

the files I have show 2 xp2200's both are thoroughbred's AXDA2200DKV3C and AXDA2200DUV3C the 2nd one having a slightly lower vcore voltage, both running at 1800 mHz.

click here the best cpu identifier I have used, although I have not tried this latest beta version - but will be soon.

Yes, this is the site. But what does low quality mean?

The term "low quality" doesn't really apply here i feel. I haven't done my research but i suspect the thoroughbred b's have the same core speed as the th'bred a's and that the real difference is in the level 1 and 2 cache?

Maybe ?

Be nice for anyone to confirm ?

click here nothing much in it for me - the thoroughbred b is the later version wich is slightly improved on the a allowing amd to increase the clock speeds and produce faster chips - up to the xp2800

xp2200 a or b will perform the same

no difference in cache memory either - that increase came with the barton - and has dissapeared again with sempron
