Lovsan/Blaster worm and other related problems

Like many of you, I have this problem and have been reading the various threads. Stinger temporarily removes it until I try to download the patch then it reappers. So followed the advice to set options in Administrative tools>Services> highlight rpc right click, select properties and change options to take no action. This successfully stopped the system from shutting down but now cannot copy and paste or use links, as in Conaires problem earlier on. Also, do not appear to be able to download the patch, nothing happens. Can't get back to properties in options above as right click no longer works. Help please!!
