Lost Authenticity Certificate

  [DELETED] 06:57 23 Jun 2006

I have to reinstall XP Home. I have the Recovery CD but I lost (or can not find) my Authenticity Certificate where the key is indicated. Therefore, I can't reinstall XP. Impossible to contact Fijitu Siemens by phone and they do not answer my Email requests for help.
Can anyone help?

It is a requirement of Microsoft that a sticker with the Product Key should be firmly attached to the case of every computer equipped with a Windows operating system. Computers that do not have this sticker are in contravention of the agreed licence conditions of supply of the software.

So, have you had a look around the case?

Thank you €dstowe. I found the sticker on the bottom side of the computer (a laptap). Had to use a magnifying glass to read the Product Key but it was there.

Thanks everyone. I'll just keep my Win98SE computer in a corner for back up in case I need it.
