Most Scanners come with a cut down OCR Software. I have a Cannon Lide 20, a very neat machine, that has taken me through several versions of Windows, currently on Windows 10, but I think that you might have to pay real money to get an OCR Program that can read hand-writing

Thanks, i looked at the fujitsu range but I don’t know how good the text recognition is on them. All my documents are handwritten and it seems to be the quickest way to file them to pc, also I’ve heard good and bad about the software

From what I have heard, Handwriting Recognition can be something of a mixed bag, but I suppose that it must depend very much on the handwriting. For example, Copperplate must be easier than a scrawl.

I have just read a number of reviews and they all skirt around claiming to be able to read Handwriting. There have been claims of success in the past but I think that you would be overoptimistic in expecting anything to be able to convert your handwritten work onto a printed page with any degree of accuracy
